Hi everyone,
My name is Wayne, 45 yrs from Tamworth. Staffs. Married, no kids.
I'm fairly new to cigar smoking, after a couple of holidays to Cuba I got the bug!
As a non-smoker before cigars, I'm trying to tune my taste buds into the different tastes each cigar gives.
I think I'm more of a Cuban sort of smoker, probably from my time over there, the history of the country & the industry, including the skill I've witnessed in a cigar factory which fascinates me.
Our last holiday in Cuba, we managed to get a tour which included Havana & the tobacco growing region of Pinar Del Rio. A trip that i highly recommend to anyone going to Cuba for a holiday. It included a trip to a farm where we saw how the leaves are harvested & dried, then onto a cigar factory to see the complete process of cigar manufacturing. I believe the factory produced cigars under the Trinidad brand.
I work in the Oil industry, so no smoking while at work!!
During the summer months though, I have enjoyed sitting outside slowly working my way through a few sampler packs from Cgars, eventually compiling a list of brands which I like & will probably get some more singles & hopefully some boxes too.
Hopefully I'll be around for a while, my job entails shift work so, some of my night shifts I get time to browse the forum & read up on the various topics that are available. Which I must say are quite enjoyable & educational.
That's it for now, hope to speak & join in the conversation soon.
Cheers,
Wayne
