I just got home for the first time in nearly week and I'm already playing with cigars!

Having a 2013 des Dieux whilst I play.

Need to smoke less of them since there are only 13 left in this cab now.

gojira I had one of these on Tuesday felt it was a poorly kept example sadly.... but hinted at being a really enjoyable small stick

I have been rather lucky with this cab. They were full of mold when I received them, but I managed to clean them rather well. They are really smoking nice now but would benefit from more time down. The retro hale is still a little harsh and I would like to get a little more cream out of them. Will try to keep my fingers of them for a while.

I have another cab that I ordered from a vendor in Berlin (it was quite a hassle) but I suspect that they reunited all the singles that they had left and made a cab out of them. The wrappers have different shades and the knot on the ribbon isn't as it should be. I'm guessing that they are all from 2013 since that's the most recent box year that I have seen. And they put them into a 2013 cab.

The one I had was harsh and too dry and firm with a cracked wrapper. If I had more time I would have stopped and asked for the shop/ lounge to replace it. In the middle though it was a delight. One for the future for me I think.... and one to keep in the locker for a good ageing, following your notes- thank you!

COTM and an imperial stout tonight. Haven't done a blind tasting in years, forgot how much it plays with your mind. Good cigar so far; recognise it but can't pinpoint what it is yet.

gojira how is it? They are superb smokes when not too tightly rolled.

An old RyJ tubos no.2 for me this evening. Not sure of the age but it came in a silver tube rather than the newer white one.

It is a little to tightly rolled and sadly I'm not getting a lot of smoke. But it's not plugged and that's good since I left my perfecdraw at my girlfriends home. The first inch didn't have much taste but it has since developped into a nice creamy smoke with hints of leather and taht sweetness that I like in SCdLH. I also get some leather??? I'm not even half through the cigar so there will be more to come.

SNAP - Oct 2016, so it's only a young one. Still, i got no ammonia and it didn't feel 'fresh' to me. It was a lovely smoke, and the first out of my 25 box, so I look forward to seeing how the flavours develop. My only criticism would be the last third became more muted, and the flavours were very simple and sadly lost the brown sugar that made the first third so great. I shall keep everything crossed that it enriches in the coming months/years. I have made a note to give another one a go in three months to see

Thank you Greg. Mine are from Sep 16, so I will give them a little more rest. Wanted to try a couple to see if I'd like a box.

I've got a box from Oct 13 which are really starting to show some promise now. Lovely cigars with some age.
