"By the cigars they smoke, and the composers they love, ye shall know the texture of men's souls."John Galsworthy "A good Cuban cigar closes the door to the vulgarities of the world." Franz Liszt "The most futile and disastrous day seems well spent when it is reviewed through the blue, fragrant smoke of a Havana Cigar." Evelyn Waugh "Remember, commander, no cigars before launch."a Cuban doctor's orders to an astronaut at Cape Canaveral
Hmmm watching it and a little confused, i assume you're the affluent one but your location is listed as London yet the family in question is from Morecambe. I maybe wrong but is this the correct episode we are looking out for.
I started out with nothing and i've still got most of it left - Seasick Steve
seems the whole bit I was involved with was edited out; The guy from Cumbria wanted to give a gift of a years worth of singing lessons to Dominique, so I was contacted by the production company. They brought Dominique and her mother round to mine and filmed her having an hour's lesson with me.
They presumably decided to focus on a particular "storyline" for the doc, so there wasn't any room for the singing aspect.
I thought that may be the case since they said that they'd filmed more than 450 hours of footage overall (for a one hour programme!)

I would say that it was a shame, but then again taking part in something as remarkable as what that programme symbolises has to be reward enough. How long ago was it filmed?
