  • Favourite Beverage To Acompany A Good Cigar?

    Hey Guys

With being a fan of Maduro cigars , I find that drinking a good cup of cappuccino made with perculated coffee, which is a nice acompanying taste to the cigar itself

I prefer maduros too, but I like single malt scotch to go with it or a good stout.

Strong mug of Twinings Assam tea.
      Semi-skimmed milk. No sugar.
A nice strong brew to go with a good cigar.
I make a big pot for a big smoke.
Doesn't matter at all if it goes cold during a bliss-out.

A decent sweet red wine - Banyuls or something similar.

Been here before but here goes:

During afternoon - Brewhaha Earl Grey - gorgeous.

Evening - light ginger ale with Noah's Mill Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey.

Red Wine or a really good Rum or even a VSOP Brandy.

            And sometimes a coffee....

If it's a cigar that I've smoked many times before then normally a coffee (turkish or nicaraguan). If I'm smoking in the evening then some courvoisier normally.

For cigars I havn't smoked before then always ice water.

A good single malt...does it for me! I tried a port a couple of times after the last thread on this topic, and although I like a good vintage or tawny port, I didn't think it really stood up to the cigar like a good Scotch...

                Just my view...

A glass of remy, also like Havana club aged 7 years, do like earl grey tea & Blue mountain coffee.

                  But not all at once

I have recently been told that the right thing to drink is black tea and no sugar, but where's the fun in that?

A friend of mine recently put me onto Recioto della Valpolicella, it's a wonderfully rich red Italian dessert wine and will make you completely re-evaluate all that Port you have laid down for a rainy day.

Get a half bottle and give it a try, you won't regret it.

How about a freshly made mojito? Served with pide at the La Casa de Habano in TJ, Mexico. When served along with a free sample of the finest CC, it doesn't get much better.

I like a nice congac, i seem to get given bottles by everyone so have a decent collection now, like cigars. During the day though i find an ice cold glass bottle of coke does the job, it seems to bring out other flavours. I tried strong columbian coffee once and it didnt taste right at all, did try cuban coffee with a cuban cigar and its nto for me although there was simularities in taste they didnt blend with eachother all that well. I`ll try again when i head off on sunday to the best country in the world for now haha.
Chill out and enjoy a good cuban when you can
