Just finished work and enjoying a Behike 56 in the cigar lounge of the Epoque hotel in Bucharest. Sublime smoke, never had one of these before, it's definitely a smoke generating machine.

I had one Christmas morning that had been sat in my humidor since the launch and it's the first time I'd actually smoked one. I really wanted it to be the sort of smoke where I could say "It's good, but it ain't all that." I remember smoking the 52 a week or so after the launch and thinking "It's good, but I can't see what the massive fuss is."

However the 56 really was all that. Just fantastic. Might have been to do with a little time sitting in the humi.... but just great.

This one was in the aged section of the humidore, like you, I had a 52 some time back but had nothing to compare it with at that time, compared to this 56 the difference is sooo obvious that it is a special stick.

Of all the Behike that I've smoked none have come close to the 1st release 52 I had almost right after launch, the later ones have never recreated that experience. Saying that I had a 56 a week ago and it wasn't half bad, from a batch a friend brought back from the Habanos Festival this year, that was the exception, most of the 52/4/6's I've had in the last 12 months would have trouble standing up to a bog standard Siglo VI.

Supposedly there is a shortage of the medio tempo leaves so each cigar has less than the original release did.
