Okay so the paining is really not going well, and the Rums are going down far too well, so that means I can light another stogie and do another of my insubstancial and not far off dreadful (I hope) reviews, this one is for:
The Man O' War corona, Okay now, Man O'wars were one of the first cigars that I tried and it was like inviting a well dressed teenager with several asbos into my mouth (that sounds so wrong!) The point is I didn't like them, however after 6 months in the humi they were really quite a nice smoke....did I say quite nice? I meant great, so here's my review.

Due to lack of painting I decided that Lego would be a suitable distraction
The band on these is just awesome.
So anyway, the Man O' War, what an awesome name, and you know what, it's a pretty sweet smoke, it's form A J Fernandez which instantly screams a) very cool looking b) tidy build c) nice flavour, it's an all-Nicaraguan binder and filler with an Equadorian Wrapper. It's cut, and the draw is just perfect, lighting is a sinch particually as it's slim. The first part of the cigar had the earthy leathery notes that you would expect, it drew perfectly with a just off white ash.
It has a Leatheryness with a peppery bite ( I think, like I have said I suck at this) but is a very constant smoke, over half way the burn line is still perfect and the taste remains the same though it is getting a little more bitter, dare I say cocoa and a touch of vanilla (or something else smooth), either way, this is a good solid smoke like I remember.
"OH GOD the lego people are taking over"

Phew, all sorted...so the last part becomes very full flavoured with a very mature flavour, becoming nutty and peppery then quite sweet, a very nice ending to a lovely cigar. In short A J Fernandez knows how to make a good cigar, he has since gone on to make the Ruination and the Armada, i've tried the Armada and it too doesn't fail to please.
