Finally, I'd suggest that you avoid smoking in a tent. It will get filled up with smoke and sitting in that environment is likely to make it difficult to breathe. This might have contributed to you feeling dizzy and sick.
Agreed.
Though if it's similar to what my next doors have on their patio .... it's bigger than my garage and 10 blokes could comfortably have a Herf in it.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!
Sorry to read that you've been given a bit of a hard time by some of our more 'cynical' members.. (Dat is jammer) but please don't let it put you off.
We're a nice bunch.. (mostly).
I've always been a bit of a fan of the 'Partagas Serie D Number 4', but.. (and this applies to the vast majority of cigars), 'age' is the key.
Even two or three years makes a big difference. So, next time you vist the cigar shop, ask them about the box dates of their stock, and try to pick up one or two with a few years on them to compare.
Using a petrol lighter is somewhat of a sin, they 'taint' the flavour of the cigar (perhaps part of the reason it only scored a 6?), go with a 'torch-style' gas lighter in future and you should see a marked improvement.
In an ideal world, I'd suggest you hang onto the Behike for as long as you can (or at least save it for a special occasion).
Have you thought about getting a humidor yet?
One word of advice if you do, is.. buy the biggest you can. You may not think you'll ever need that much space, but you'll be amazed at how soon they start filling up.
Also, you'll be able to lay down and age your own stock then.
As for the 'Bells', well.. just like cigars.. there's an astonishing amount of variety when it comes to Whisky (and the subject tends to provoke epequally endless points of view)..
Stick around, some of the 'old fellas' have some really good hints and tips on finding the 'good' ones.
Oh yes... and who doesn't like a fine cigar when camping out?
Anyhow, welcome again.. doe voorzichtig.. gauw tot ziens!

Thankyou is good to hear that other people like Bells, in true it make my throat burn but is good with cigar?
Tent not best I know but in rain it best. our garden is small and is tent too, but no bar near us does allow smoking of any cigar/cigarette with new laws of government. I not like coffee shop smoking places as many there rude to cigar and say is homosexual like! My friend smoke part of cigar in near coffee shop and leave when named such. So rude, and not modern thinking.
Cigars here are not thought homosexual like large moustache, cigar are not homosexual thing in UK, no?
I have already bought Behike form shop, it is "it's likely that you'll find other cheaper cigars that suit your tastes" very strong for me? But I have spent much money on this should I take back to shop and swap for cheap cigar?
So many cigars! not just Cohiba or Monte Cristo or Punch (Ha!) and many makes, there are so many big and small and shapes. Why is one shape size better for one than other or selected best?
My english friend say Dutch cigar are "trash" but he know why there no English cigar? Dunhill is english good name but make in foreign countries only? Why no english cigar. If English cigar can I buy to taste if not to strong or money.
Thankyou for being nicer when I ask, I sometime feel fool here, but know much about my things so am not really.
I am understand/ing that troll is not nice but I have not done any troll talking! So would just lie chance to learn as say many times before to grow knowledge.
Some here nice some not but that life, I try my best and as said by all members introduce myself and not talk cigarettes.
Then I make real review as asked which seem some like and some not, but still some men very rude and say I spoof, which I true understand but may be liar, I am not liar, why I lie about buying so small group cigars, some think I not have enough money!!! Rude?
I am worrying that I should not have put my picture as my friend say it may be race and some here not like colour people? May because I am not old like some here, if no please say?
I am sad that some here think I am fool in shop but other think not, I buy best for money, no? I try now to buy gas lighter for cigar but shop not take zippo away (Boo!)
I buy cheap lighter on journey back today.
I will be smoking another cigar this night but not sure if I should keep writing here so people are rude to me? If it English, I try again but one member speak Dutch to check?
What is wrong about smoke in tent? Father not say any smoke in house (Boo!) so I smoke in garden, it is small but stop rain but smell after smoke!
What is wrong in Bells whisky it is scottish, and my mother grandfather (gone) drink with cigar all life! No.1 whisky in Scotland! I Like some, if you not like SO?
I have member advice joined a Dutch forum and talk some, they are nice and some not white people I'm sure. I sure if your English join this forum, I would not be rude back!!!
I wished to keep here and learn from more cigar smokers but if not wished here just say cleanly and I will not write more.
thank you
I almost didn't respond but having re-read Jan's reply I feel I need to.
I am trying very hard not to fall into the trap of some previous threads that get out of control and have considered that this may just be misunderstanding as a result of two slightly different cultures and me not being tolerant enough.
Suggesting someone may be racist because they doubt the sincerity of a person is not a very nice thing to do in this country. As Crusse has said there are mischief makers who dangle comments to try and get a bite so some people are genuinely wary of new people on the Forum who appear in a non traditional way. THIS IS IRRESPECTIVE OF ANYONE'S RACE OR COLOUR.
Now I am sure you didn't mean to offend me Jan (as I didn't mean to offend you) and so will not take offence at your comment.
Onto your the rest of your post:
You should continue to post. No-one cares how old, what your colour or what country you come from. On here we share information, cigars and usually a good sense of humour.
I use a zippo for my cigars as I like the aesthetics of a Zippo. I have bought a Z PLus butane insert for it.
Smoking in a tent is dangerous.
I enjoy whisky, I collect whisky but wouldn't describe myself as an afficianado. Whatever whisky you like is fine by me, it is also fine to drink it how you want. In my opinion there are better whiskies to drink whilst smoking a cigar.
If this was a wind up by either an existing member or anyone else I think it would be funny so am not worried about that. I can think of a few jokes that have been shared on here that have made people laugh. The fun is in the sharing.
Having said all that quite calmly and I hope quite clearly I will reserve judgement from the sidelines as to whether Jan is a serious UK Cigar Forum contributor. If you are Jan I apologise unreservedly.
So in this thread Jan ok as Jan pay bills and rent before he buy cigars, in intro thread Jan live at home (booo) and when finish study Jan move out and pay rent... Hole 1
Hole 2 - Jan post makes me smell rat, rat on big pile of cow doodoo.
Just saying what everyone's thinking. Funny read though
