The one I had was average and I found the shorts to be much better (as well as RASS and Bolivar RC). That said, I know they are meant to be inconsistent so will definitely be picking another one up to try at some point.

That might be an oversimplification of the situation, but close enough. Cuba needs hard currency and there are only so many things the island can export. Tourism, medical field, nickel, tobacco and sugar make up the lion's share of the exports. I don't think there is a supply/demand issue with regular production cigars on the consumer end as much as it is on the Cuban government side. Being a state owned company the push is there to make X amount of boxes. If quality suffers from time to time so be it. The cigars they produce are unique in that they can't be replicated down to a T anywhere else in the world. No matter what money talks.

but seriously: yea, i've always hated them. but that's probably just because i'm a party pooper... literally! damn partagas
i ended up bombing away or trading or selling my original stock. only ones i have now are the bombs that i will never give away and am forced to smoke but i'm pretty sure i'll enjoy them in some level or another!

.... I've tried, and still have a few more to carry on the trying with .... but to be honest I don't expect much. As far as I'm concerned the only virtue the PSD4 has going for it is .... it's cheap! For around the same sort of money the SLR Regios is IMO far better!

But for those who love 'em, I'm happy for them to smoke them all and not bomb, pass or MAW one to me .... ever!
