Hi Neil,

Coming on strong, nice first box, full bodied smokes the GM's. Sainsbury have a fair old selection of rums without going near the spiced varieties..Havana club, Appleton, Mount Gay etc. I find that the spiced varieties can swamp the cigars complexities, just MHO....

Already have a bottle of Appleton, Lambs and Kraken so just the Oakheart to get.

Tomorrow evening is going to be a relaxed affair. Several different rums and cognac to sample with the cigars.



The GM box is for storage and the other 2 are for trying. From reading on this site it seems wise to invest in a box for ageing whenever possible.

I would have ordered more but i'm off to Spain on Wednesday with a list as long as your arm!!!!!! Yikes this is gonna be expensive to start with but ultimately worth it.


And to think i only came on here to find out about Swisher sweets lol.

Nice choices there, only ever seen 07/08/09 GMs, I know they officialy discontinued them in '11 but didn't realise they kept making them that long!

I researched the shop I've purchased from and they seem genuine. Am i right that the box will have an EMS stamp on it? anything else i should check on?

It will have an EMS stamp if they are from the UK or Gibraltar. Which shop was it? Feel free to PM me if it was a non-UK source!
