    Hi All

Just had an email through for cigar auctions.. what is meant by dry cigar? cannot be smoked? Sorry if this is a stupid question trying to learn the ropes!.

I see some are making crazy money, well as a newbie. but some are more reasonable.

    cheers,

I was just browsing the latest catalogue... Dangerous place to be... Dry cured cigars are a thing! It's a style of cigar. Never tried one myself though.

            measure twice, cut once.....

Sample sample sample. figure our what you like before going bananas on auctions. You might get lucky or you might get a box full of dog rockets... . Post often here, read a lot, hang around and when your time comes get your PM's so you can participate in Box splits and sales.

Auctions are not for the newbies & to be fair I wouldn't recommend the one that was emailed to us all today, the costs are far too high these days when there are other avenues available these days e.g. FB, without the costs on a B&M auction house.

Funny, most lots of that same mentioned auction is subject to VAT on the lots themselves, meaning they’re all in bond? Reminds me of going to wine auctions in the uk in the 80-90’es.say you bid 500 Quid for a lot you will end up paying almost 800! Yikes.

Makes it pretty much impossible to get a decent deal, especially with the price of some of the lots.
