I would like to search only within specific threads. For example searching for "Monticristo Double Edmundo" in the reviews section.

Or searching threads by poster. For example searching the newbie greets section for threads started by "TJCoro".
(There isn't one I went through page by page manually)

Is any of this possible?

Thats always been possible, go into the thread/forum and do an advanced search.

In the grey bar for advanced actions. Click search forum drop down and you get a search bar.

I've used this today and found exactly what I've wanted a few times. One thing though, when results come up, there's no immediate or obvious date/chronological reference (apart from being ordered) which means sifting through posts. Overall though,
