Off the top of my head (so don't count this as exhaustive):
No discussion of non-UK sources.
No selling until you've reached 50 posts, and within reason ie. no more than once a month
I'd say those are the important ones. If you aren't sure on a particular issue, feel free to PM a mod. It's pretty laid back here but those rules are mainly to protect the community rather than anything else.

I hate that we can't discuss sources.
It's what really annoys me about so many international forums - that people in customs/CIA are just sitting around supposedly reading forums to find out sources (even though all of the 'exclusive'/in-the-know ones are found on the first few pages of a google search). And then if you are a new member asking for info on sources, they laud it over you and say thing like 'it's rude to ask for sources when you've just joined' blah blah blah. What a joke.
I swear the real reason is that all of those sorts of aficionados want to keep the sources to themselves, maybe because they wasted a lot of money buying from more expensive ones before they found them, or because they know if more people know about them they won't be able to select that 09 box of monte 2's so easily like they've been doing in the past...
It then pisses me off that we have a forum dedicated to people in the UK, where cubans are not trade-embargoed, and we STILL can't discuss them because of a sponsor (who in other forums is not held in such high regard for some of his dealings...).
/rant, and apologies if this has offended some people - its just been getting on my nerves for some time.

Please don't presume to know the reasons behind the rules.

Fair enough - I DID assume it was because of cgars, it just made sense in my head that if I sponsored a forum I wouldn't want people discussing competitors that were cheaper.
Apologies.
It is still frustrating, nonetheless. Granted, you do get into sticky situations when people say things like 'so and so sell fake cigars' just because the wrappers look a bit different from the one that they smoked in cuba or some of the bands look 'dodgy'. Its just a nightmare for new people getting into this, having no idea where they can buy from, and the only places people mention are pricey UK distributors.
Is there no chance that we could have a 'trusted sellers' forum? This could provide a section for a select few sellers, chosen by the most experienced on here (in no way do I count myself anywhere near that bracket), where sellers could advertise promotional deals but crucially directly respond to queries/complaints? Bad service leads to their removal from the forum, good service is simply good for business. People who then buy from them post pictures of their wares and rate the cigar... It works on other forums for certain products.
I'm sure there are reasons why this proposal won't work though...
I do want to make clear that although I complain, I think this is a great forum with perhaps the friendliest bunch I've seen. None of the pretensions of CA, just a load of cigar lovers helping each other with their hobby.

My experience is, that ALL the major UK online Retailers can be trusted.
Starting with C.Gars here's a little list.
JJ Fox
TomTom
mysmokingshop
SimplyCigars
Broardwaits-cigars (LCdH)
For any beginner looking to experience singles or samplers all these Retailers are perfect. The Guys will also be able to add to this list I'm sure .... and not be breaking any Rules. If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Jebus - Just to be clear the issue with discussion non-UK duty paid sources is the potential for charges of conspiracy to evade taxes. For this reason alone we cannot openly discuss any source where full UK duty is not paid.
It has nothing to do with any supplier/sponsor.
As I am sure you are aware HMRC has no sense of humour about this and the potential consequences include prison! What you suggested above is conspiracy to evade excise duty. HMRC does read forums, is very hot on illegal imported tobacco and is currently in an aggressive prosecution mode. There is absolutely no protection offered by supposedly 'closed' forums, screen names, pseudonyms, chains of ownership, hidden IP addresses or sites not hosted in the UK (just to debunk those ideas). All they have to prove is that you could reasonably know that tax evasion was being encouraged on a forum you manage. I say all of this not to scaremonger but from a position of knowledge.
If one lives in the UK/Europe and manages/owns/moderates a forum that encourages tax evasion you are on borrowed time.
Best to get over it and come and join the fun (and IMHO remove the document on your signature).
A couple more great retailers for the list:
Hava Havana is a specialist cigar store in London, home to rare and vintage cigars. We also stock cuban cigars, accessories, humidors plus chocolates & gifts. The latest cigar to come out is the La Gloria Cubana Británicas UK Regional 2017.
