Owner/mods have every right to protect and stick up for their open, and free to most, hard work. Rude if you think otherwise IMHO.

I think considering the work put in to build this forum up etc, that it shouldn't be used as a device for another person/forum's gain. Poaching is pretty lame. And I'm quite personally saddened by the actions of these few people.

By sheer dumb luck, I happened across UKCF early on and have been a participating member ever since. I may not be as prolific as others, but I like to think I have added some information and some entertainment. I've gotten to know know many of you quite well and have exchanged some heavy bombing with a number of you. In fact, even though the only other forum member I've met in person is Jimmeh, I consider many of you to be my friends.

Having said that, I'm going to out myself as a member of that "other" forum. So what? Doesn't change a thing. I don't think any less of anyone here, nor has it changed my attitude about this great place.

Deano, I love you and what you've created here is truly amazing, but I must tell you... to listen to you go on about how that other place is "poaching" people from here... Really! No one can be "poached" unless they want to be. It's not like anyone is holding a gun to their heads. I say, if they jump ship you don't want them here anyhow, so what's all the brouhaha about? Others, like myself, are perfectly content to exist in harmony in both places.

So I say: Long live UKCF! And as for that "other" place, well... I wish them the best as well. No reason we can't spread the wealth and all live happily ever after.

I should just like to apologise to any forum member who I may have inadvertently offended. This was certainly not my intention, and is a result of a little naivety on my part. I have PM'd Deano asking him how he should like to me to proceed - and I shall take his advice. I wish to be an active member on this forum, and should like to work hard to build a good reputation with other forum members and contribute to the forum as a whole. The last thing I want is to be banned due to a perceived lack of judgement on my part. Thank you all - Nick.

Forums are not football teams. I do not consider my reading or contributing in other Forum discussions to be 'turning out' for the opposition. I try to keep to topic, and banter aside, try to avoid Forum politics or contention.

I start Forum threads singularly when I think they are relevant to one Forum only. Or duplicate them (Reviews) if I believe what I'm saying might be of some cigar interest or benefit on all.

Just so everyone knows.
