a profile picture - how?

how do i add a picture so when i post one comes up next to my name? Sorry if obvious, but can't see it.

That sort of picture is called an avatar.

If you go to your user CP, you will see edit avatar.

Click it and upload a picture from your computer.

If your picture/jpeg is not too big, you should be able to upload it easily.

Locate the picture you wish to upload, and when the file name appears in the uploading box, click save changes.

You may have to wait a little while for it to upload. If it doesn't work, you will get a message that says so.

I have found how it all works!!!!

Happy news sorted it out at last. Having seen everyone post pictures of themselves with pipes I felt a little left out so I took a photo of myself and placed it as my profile picture. No pun intended Robusto.
