Tried to solve the apostrophe problem, even had to restore the DB from a backup I screwed it so much! There was a load of old char settings on the DB and tables and I had to use some supplied scripts to upgrade everything but it's still pretty dodgy for some older posts. I've asked support.

The apostrophe problem isn't on every post though. Some members seem to post with no hassle and others have a load of garbage symbols inserted.

Stevieboy some older posts may just show question marks now. Might not bother trying too hard to fix it, as it might just be impossible. However, I am intereted in new posts that display this behaviour. Let me know if you see any.

You'l notice smiliies work and emojiis now work from phones etc now we've converted the DB to a modern utf8 implementaiton (utf8mb4)

Deano I've noticed a few photos on the site are broken. mcdee posted an image earlier today which he can see fine, but on my phone I see some code and on the laptop I just see a broken image.

i've spotted 'some' photos arent showing through a web browser on a PC.

i was trying to see pictures in the resurrected thread on DIY cabinet humidors... couldnt see a single image...
