Sorry to hear this. Shame when things go sour.
I was mowing the lawn last weekend, I was under strict instructions not to prune anything without the instruction and presence of MLW. When finished I walked past a stump we had cut down last year that had a couple of tiny shoots on it. I thought rather than suffer a bigger clean up later I pulled off these two shoots. I tested the old stumps that were as good as dead, they broke off without too much resistance. Thought nothing more of it.
Later I got such a telling off. She wanted those new shoots. And why did I go pruning without her after her specific instructions and my acknowledgement.
She went on to say that's like her messing around in my humidor ...... I've locked it since and hidden the key ...
