Got this today and after bloody reformatting found out it is affecting vista and windows 7 64bit version. Its not a virus as such but a cock up with Bit defender which basically quaratines shed loads of files making the pc crash. According to what i've read you can turn off real time scanning reboot and repair windows then download the Bit defenders latest patch to fix,. Don't know if it works as i got a panic on and reformatted.

nope no dodgy sites. Its actually windows bit defender, the latest update for it was fecked up thus shed loads of false positive virus alerts. Loads of people on bit defenders forum slagging them off. Looks like the 32 bit version unaffected.I started out with nothing and i've still got most of it left - Seasick Steve
