Fantastic! I sent the link to another PC with windows 8 and will download it to a disk there. I have have both DVD R/W and CD R/W. I the DVD preferred?

I am downloading Win7 Pro 64bit english. It's being saved on the other PC an will take about 7 minutes. I will then transfer to a disk. I will reverse the change we made to the SATA 1 and also revise to boot order in bios so the the DVD drive is first up. Then I will insert the disk and when it loads, select "repair computer" Correct?

Should I drag the whole file to the DVD or open it first and then move certain files?

it will download an iso file it will only fit on a dvd. just double click on it when downloaded and it should open your writing software and then burn. you cant drag and drop it wont work.

yes select repair pc then you should get a menu. try system restore first.

by the way how fast is your internet? you must have fibre.
