"My PC with [Edit: Windows 7] Pro locks up occasionally while in screen saver mode, causing a need to re-boot the system, sometimes several times, before it would work.

Mr. Computer Man, any ideas why this is happening and how it can be fixed?

Double check the graphics card drivers are up to date and there's no gpu sensor apps running. Sometimes the temp gauges for your system can cause it to over heat if its not 100% compatible.

Gracias, Amigo! That sounds like a real possibility.

The fans do run high when I reboot. I also found a gpu sensor app which was set to XP, so I reset it to Windows 7. Next I'll check the driver for the graphics card.
