Thanks for the welcome guys.. i think i could handle the err 'big cat', perhaps he would like a meat flavoured cigar :S if not i'm in trouble!

Re: your mold issue, you'll find it easier to stabilize the humidity in your (ahem) box if you have: a greater volume of cigars, and a lesser volume of air.
Stabilizing the humidity is not an issue, where i work i have an almost endless supply of silica gel, a small packet is a less tasty but equally effective substitute for a full humidor and helps keep my humidity at the right level now. I just add and remove packets as needed

hmm what's all the fuss about non Cubans? They seem to be working out for me so far, perhaps someone could explain ..

What's the difference between Cubans and NON-Cubans you ask...? No problemo!
(Put some paper in your printer, you'll need this for future reference)

It's all all matter of taste you see.

Now... I'm not one of those Cuban 'snobs' that consider ALL NC's to be inferior smokes (well, not quite all of them).

You see, from a 'construction' and 'quality control' point-of-view, 'your' average NC is often a superior product.
i.e. Well rolled, uniform in size and shape, less likely to be plugged etc, etc.

However, the thing about 'your' average Cuban is...... they 'taste' better*.

One of the reasons I often encourage 'newbees' to try out a Partagas Serie D No.4 is because it's a 'benchmark' cigar. Typical of what it is that makes tobacco grown in Cuba, the stuff-of-legend.
Packed with very 'distinctive' flavours and that special Cuban 'twang'.

Truth is, there are very few (good) NC's that can even come close to an average Cuban.
(There, I said it... come and have a go if you think your 'hard' enough).
However, you'll also pay a premium for the privilege.

From the vantage point of taste, what we're talking about is the difference between a bottle of 'Liebfraumilch' and a good 'Chablis'... a 'Hyundai' or an 'Aston Martin'.... etc, etc.

Let time... and your taste buds inform your preferences... some swear by Cubans.... some by NC's.

*Better is a 'subjective term, as in: Some people can't tell the difference between 'Asti-Spumante' and a glass of 'Champagne'... and some 'can'.

        The 'case rests'.
(Boy, am I in trouble now!)
