Hello everyone, Ive recently joined your forum and have been looking at various posts and I'm glad I've found you.I am a complete novice to cigars and have never smoked before, but now enjoying cigars. I've bought some sampler packs of cuban and non cuban and my preference seems to favour cuban. I have a desktop humidor at the moment but have ideas for something bigger later on, maybe converting a suitable piece of furniture possibly. Is it best to store tubed cigars in the humidor with top screwed on or removed?. Looking foreward to my stay here

    Best Regards Mark

Hi Mark, lids off is the general consencus if your going to be smoking them anytime soon. Long term storage, then lids left on. Welcome on board, don't get carried away with your credit card, it's very easy to do!

      Hello and welcome Figurado.

Nice to see you have already got yourself a humidor, that will soon be accompanied by another .... and another

Cigars are one of those things where you never stop learning or experiencing new things.

As for storage of Tubos, mine never seem to last that long, I've never done a comparison but I would probably only remove them from their tubes if I had tried one and thought they needed some ageing.

LOL Barney, snuck that post in while I was typing mine. Opposite of what I thought but I'd go with your advice , ignore my comment Figurado, like I said, you learn something new all the time.
