  • Body smoking, cigar retttte

Hi all Tobbaco buddies! I'm Kshazzy a student at the moment studying English. I don't smoke much, but I'm up for new things. After trying the hamlet (yes I know it's not fit to be called a cigar), i thought I should step up to the real havana shit. I purchased my first havana cuban 'romeo and julietta' yesterday and I enjoyed it!

It's great that there's this forum out which introduces people to cigars and I look forward to hearing recommendations from you as well as exciting ways to smoking the cigar.

So which cigar should I go for now?! ''D

    Welcome aboard kshazzy!

Regulars will think I'm sounding like a broken record when I say this: next up, definitely try an El Rey del Mundo Petit Corona. A great cigar - and there's a reason I continually recommend it to newer cigar smokers. Enjoy.

thanks for that will have to check it out. So how do you keep your lungs intact after smoking cigars. They take a lot of you! By the way when should i step up to the cohiba? And out of curiosity, do you have any idea what cigars Del Boy smokes are?

Welcome to the board mate. First smokes? Hmmmm. Monte #4 (#5 if you want smaller). The Ramon Allones Small Club is also a good intro to the cuban world IMHO. Cohiba's require a refined palate to get the best out of them.
What would I know? I'm just a backwoods roo packin crim from New Holland! LOL. (Thankyou El Cat)

Welcome, RyJ are good starting smokes but the ones the guys here have reccomended are superb.

Don't forget there are also some good non cubans out there such as Rocky patel and Olivia cigars. There is a big cuban non cuban divide but most people on here will mix it up.

Enjoy what ever you can when starting out.

I don't want to seem rude in telling you something you probably already know but your comment about your lungs does hint towards the fact that you are inhaling the smoke? You just take the smoke into your mouth to get the flavour (and you can let a little out your nose to get the full aroma) but you shouldn't really inhale.

I wouldn't imagine Del Boy smoking anything worth smoking TBH!

I've been grooming a work colleague along on cigar smoking. I find that if beginners stick to the smaller ring gauges they enjoy the cigar more no matter the brand. For instance I gave a Bolivar robusto to my friend and the nicotine about killed him.. but a pary short went down extremely well.

... a bit like serving up a Phaal Curry to someone more used to rice pudding. Is he still your friend Bop ... or, haven't seen him for a while?

Hi Kshazzy. Try these for a good starter:
