Just finished a bottle of Patron Anejo, new one to open is Olmeca Altos Plata although it might be more of a mixer.

There’s a good brewery nearby https://hogsback.co.uk and the long running beerex at Farnham Maltings

It's not a bad tequila at all. Not quite as fresh or flavourful as others in the same price range (e.g. El Jimador), but pretty smooth.

My Favorite Tequila by far is Ambar small production produces Blanco Repasado Anejo and Extra Anejo around £100 for the extra not easy to find
I was one of the 1st to start selling this tequila in the UK about 13 years ago after meeting the daughter of the owner at a trade fair
          Available at drink supermarket

Currently drinking the Don Julio Anejo

A belated Welcome Onboard! With 8 kids, in your 40's, I am surprised you find the time to sit down, let alone have a string of hobbies! Years ago I read about an idea Cuba has about the link with age & ring gauge. Basically the older you get the larger you'd enjoy. Can't say that worked with me (I still prefer skinnies) but maybe for you? Plenty of choice in the 40-42 range, 42 begining with the Petit Coronas, which was the stable most of us started with, like the Monte No4. Look fwd to hearing you your progress.

Yeah, I don't have much to hand in the Sistema boxes at the moment. Box of Monte no 4, a dozen RyJ Belicosos, 6 Cohiba Siglo II, And a dozen box of Trinidad Reyes. Was planning to buy a 25 box of Monte Especial no 2 this month, but of course half the family have birthdays at this time of year!

Trini Reyes are £30 odd now, so save they for special occasions, very nice wee smokes but crazy price, they used to be less than 50% than PC's.

Yeah, I wanted to get a box of Coloniales, but not sure if I can justify the huge prices for them now. Seems a leap for what is just a larger Reyes.

I would say it's a better smoke than th eReyes but still wouldn't be buying more at the current prices. Time to broaden your tastes Party's & Ramon Allones are full of nuance & flav.

I might get half a dozen to keep around. Can't see the prices going down, to be honest.
