  • Hi Guys

    Greetings to All

I thought I would introduce myself as this place looks great.

I have been fascinated with cigars since i was 13; the smell, the appearance & the godfather! Haha

Recently i bought a humidor and some cigars but i have alot to learn when it comes to topic, hence the reason for joining the site.

My favourite brand is Romeo y Julieta, i like the nice and smooth taste. The best cigar i had was the short churchill by RYJ, very nice!

But i have been experimenting with other brands such as Diplomaticos, Hoyo de Monterrey, Montecristo & Saint Luis Rey.

I really liked the Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto, Diplomaticos No.5. Can anyone else suggest cigars that i should try?

    thanks
    Mo

Hi Mo, welcome on board plenty of knowledge to be gained here. You could try a Robusto selection pack from our sponsor, cgars.ltd

Partagas SD4, its a must try...and then of course you have the P2.
Also the Trinidad Reyes is rather good, as said try a sampler and establish your preferences.
I too am rather new to this but those I can recommend so I imagine are a must do.

Welcome, as said before a sampler/selection of singles is the best way to get started.

Don't forget the Non Cubans though, Nubs, Rockys, CAO, some of them are very yummy indeed.

If in doubt get the card out and give Michelle at Cgars a call, she won't set you off on the wrong path.

Oh and try a Monte No.2, pure bliss.

Again Welcome to the UKCF, and goodbye to your good credit rating.

Hi Mo, welcome to the forum.
            Gotta agree with all before.
Get a sampler or go to your local baccy shop and see what's on.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

I have been learning already!... such as It is best to buy a Humidor that is bigger than the one you think will be adequate for your need, as i have found my 20 cigar humidor is small!

I have been ordering all my stuff from CgarsLtd, so know them and the website well.

Barney I have been eyeing up that Robusto sampler pack for a while I am tempted to order for my next order but do they do it without the box? I hate clutter and want to keep things neatly in one place, i.e my humidor

Watkins, I did order the Patragas SD4 on my last order but it got damaged so it will be replaced on my next order from Cgars. I have had a P2 in my humidor since March, just waiting for the right time to light her up!

davidruddell, your right there mate - i have been ordering singles to find my preference so far i have got [one with * means i have tried them]:

Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill *

                  Bolivar Coronas Junior cigars
                  Montecristo Open Junior cigars *
                  Diplomaticos No. 5 cigars *

Ramon Allones Small Club Corona cigars *
                  Punch Tres Petit Corona cigars
Partagas Serie D No. 4 cigars
Partagas Serie P No. 2 cigars

I have also made a list of Non-Cuban cigars that i want to try so will order some of them next time.

                  Thanks for the suggestions

I'm saying nothing (for fear of reprisals), but I'm concerned the damage may already be done.

After wading through the list of cigars you've already sampled (most excellent choices! - If I may say so), I suspect your taste buds may be forever indoctrinated.

                              Viva Cuba!
