Let's debrief:

I don't really think I understand what happened here. So he said he didn't smoke cigars, and it turned out he did. Not really sure why it warranted such an extreme reaction. I seem to recall he got into a row with Aussie, but after that all I seemed to catch was the ends of things - WITW would post a fairly innocuous thread, and then would receive a torrent angry responses.

I'm pretty sure there are a few threads and posts that were pulled by our (very handsome and clever) mods, and I'm sure that had I read them before they were pulled I would have understood the circumstances a bit better. I guess I'll never know, but the curiosuty is killing me

Well, as another newcomer here I saw posts by WITW that made my skin crawl. I would never dream of coming into a forum where there is obviously a tight-knit community with people who care a lot about the subject (ciagrs) and then start being ballsy/downright rude to some of it's longstanding members!

His behaviour in this thread about Tippexx's bomb sums him up I think, he said that the (awesome looking) Georky should not be eaten (insulting in it's self, like the sender was trying to poison Tippexx) but after being corrected did he apologise and retire? No, he kept on arguing and throwing insults around.

"hey pal....who the hell do you think you are talking to me that way? if you want to eat llama...then eat it! but not me..."

This was after he had been told it was beef and had acknowledged the fact! I've seen this all too often I'm afraid, someone getting their kicks from stiring up trouble in an otherwise quiet(ish!) forum. In a way I actually feel sorry for someone who is so desperate for attention.

bambini, you must have missed a number of his posts. A couple of days ago he was being downright offensive to just about anyone who cared to post in a couple of threads. Very poor language and rudeness more generally to boot.

As a rule, I'm not usually a fan of banning people unless they're spammers etc. But I'm fully behind the mods on this one, he did nothing but detract from the forum and make an otherwise very good community rather prickly for a while.

I'd echo Styler's comments (apart from the feeling sorry for him part... but that's because I'm really just stone).
