  • Hi !!

Good morning and hello to all!

Having spent the past few years buying the odd cigar as a single unit (and crying over the huuuuuuuuuge amount demanded for savouring a Siglo VI (drool), Partagas lusitania (double drool) or Montecristo Sublime ( uber drool with wings on) to name but a few, I finally took the plunge a month ago and bought myself a starter humidor.

Having ordered a Cuban selection I only decided two weeks later that my humidor would not be big enough so immediately turned an old wine cooler/fridge into a custom made humidor. I'll send you some pics later (I'm quite proud of it really.

That's it really. Just a small intro about myself to say hello and looking forward to many chats on various topics over the next few months / years.

      Nice Haul!

Welcome senor Coconut! Try to behave yourself, por favor.

Names Boy, Bag Boy, and I'm the last of the late, great, Coro Clan from the magical state of mind, mexico. And when I'm not enjoying a fine puro, I like to hang out at the local clubs and watch juggler boy imitate me.

Dont worry about TJ's wording. I'm sure he does this just to confuse us when we first sign up! LMAO. (He is a nice guy though)

Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy the road to bankruptcy, card declines and no food as much as i do....

Perhaps if a mod is watching this thread it could be moved to newbie greets..

Gotta be one of the quickest realisations the humi is to small too

                  Hi and welcome.
I share your love of the Siglo IV, I have a six in my humi and a couple of lovely aged Lanceros.

So hold tight to your credit card, it could get rather 'bumpy'

                      Hi all,

Thanks for the welcome! It took me a while to find this thread again and I thought it had been deleted (which, along with the swift realisation my humidor was too small as it hadn't even been seasoned yet, would have been yet another record for the shortest membership of a cigar forum)!

I will send you pictures of my humidor asap. I am currently waiting for 10 Montecristo sublimes and my collection will be complete for now. My bank account needs a break.

This is what I have in there so far:

                      > >
                      5 Cohiba Robustos>>

I don't smoke everyday and tend to enjoy a cigar at the weekend ( wheather permitting). As such this was my excuse (to myself) that I should splash out on some more expensive/exclusive smokes. Some people are shocked when you tell them how much a Siglo or Monte can cost. My view is that if I smoked a packet of cigarettes a day it would cost me over ?35 per week. So there. Was there a point in there somewhere? Probably. But maybe not.

Welcome to the forum Cohibanut. I like the self justifying argument, which is always good to pitch to partners who don't appreciate a fine puro

Welcome aboard--it looks like you figured out all the tricks (big humi, rationalization for expenditures) early on, save one--that weekend smoke will probably start having some weekday partners, especially if you stick around these parts.
