    Greetings!

Having loitered around this pleasant little corner of the web for a little while, I figured it rude not to introduce myself properly before wandering aimlessly across the boards.

My name is Drew. Originally from North Lincolnshire, I moved to York when I was 18 and I'm currently in Essex awaiting an imminent move to Norwich where I will be studying for a Biology degree at UEA. I'm 26, happily married and have a 9month old little boy called Earl.

My first real encounter with cigars was many years ago when I happened upon a pack of King Edwards. Unfortunately I didn't know what I was doing and inhaled the lot, which put me off trying cigars for some considerable time. However, a few weeks back I was at Glorious Goodwood and decided a pack of hamlets was in order. A fellow horse racing enthusiast handed me a villiger cigar and this time (knowing how to smoke it properly) I thoroughly enjoyed the flavours the cigar offered. I figured since I enjoyed a "non premium" cigar so much, maybe a cuban stick will be even better, so I set to researching cuban cigars. After browsing around several sites, including this one, I took the plunge and bought three cigars: A Montecristo No4, a H.Upmann Petit Corona and a Romeo y Julietta No2. Personally I like to think I've made an informed choice for my first smokes, but feel free to criticise my decision as, after all, I'm a complete novice in this field.

I am a smoker. I smoke Embassy No1s and have done since I was 18, hence why I'm not too daunted by switching over to the Habanos side of the fence. My cigars are currently in a humidor pouch awaiting that perfect evening when I can fully indulge in the fine cuban leaves, perhaps with a snifter of remy martin or even a drop of homebrew ale.

Other than cigars, I have a few interests to pass my time. My passion is motorbikes! I've spent a bit of time travelling around Ireland on two wheels and I currently own a triumph trident 750, although the poor old girl currently needs a fair bit of work to get her running again. I love scuba diving too. I'm certified to padi advanced open water level and I have all my own gear, so if any of you nice folks fancy a dip at some point, I'd be up for that. Homebrew is a recent addition to my repertoire. I used to brew beer (as I'm a real ale man) although I've switched to "country wine" making now and I currently have a batch of plum ros? conditioning as we speak.

Thats pretty much me in a nutshell. As I always like to put a face to a name, I've stuck a couple of pics on the end of this post.

    Thanks for reading

That was my steed a couple of months back. Spent 4 days tearing up the tarmac around Dublin. Unfortunately it was borrowed and I had to give it back... Damn near broke my heart!
