Welcome Jonny! What I would say is that the US has the obvious advantage of having far lower tobacco taxation than the UK, and a very wide non-cuban selection (for obvious reasons). The UK has the advantage that you have unlimited access to great cuban cigars (and decent beer of course), but you pay through the nose for them.

While I have not smoked your cheapo Garcia Y Vega Game Palma Green cigars, having looked them up they are sold as mild machine mades. Therefore I think your best bet for finding a good cheap UK available machine made for taste would be something like the Meharis Sweet Orient (or Javas) which are widely available (can even get them at ASDA) and work out at 48p a stick. However, they are very small compared to the corona size of your US favs. Therefore, the next step may be to try some Henri Wintermans coronas (again think ASDA), however everyone on here would be urging you to try the joys of a proper handmade cigar instead (and preferably cuban ones, although a lot of good non-cubands are out there too). However, that can be expensive (very expensive!), but a compromise could be something like a Chinchalero at less than ?3 a stick for a reasonably sized (and very mild) smoke -http://www.mysmokingshop.co.uk/index..._rsProdscat=18 - but of course there are a lot of cheapish alternatives to this.

Of course, if you buy legitimately you will never get prices as low as they are in the US on anything, but you can still get the odd 'bargain' if you are willing to experiement...
