This is a nubber. When you have the pleasure of smoking one that is really good and you do not want to quit when it gets short just grab one of these.

It looks rather like an instrument of torture.
I must have a bit of a masochist streak though. If something's good enough to smoke all the way to the very nub, then you should suffer the pain of burnt fingers. You must suffer for pleasure.
