  • Evening chaps, how's everyone doing?

    Hullo there

Well I've smoked cigars on and off for about seven years now but I've recently decided to launch into it with a bit more commitment. I went to Cuba and it's turned what was an interest into a passion.

I'm not this richest guy on the street but my tastes tend to lean towards Romeo y Julietas (the first stick I tried) and Montecristos. I know that this isn't very adventurous but I'm looking to expand my horizons and palette into pastures new.

Any advice that springs into your minds straight out of the gate is going to be more than welcome and I'm really looking forward to chatting with you all.

Welcome aboard McG. My first advice, of which you will receive much here, is to try Partagas, especially the Serie D no4.

Why thank you Soulmanure I'll give them a try, I know that there's a box in the humidor at my local tobacconist though I remember them being disproportionately pricey, about the same as some RyJ Churchills I bought. Maybe he's sitting on some aged stock - I'll check.

Thanks also Cigar-aficionado. Sea-fishing and smokes must be a hell of a combination.

^ That is a list of cigars that were recommended to me by UKCF when I asked for some recommendations, take a look through and choose some depending on budget and tastes
