Simonjgriiffithshr - I am relatively new to the Devon area, and so far the most common used phrase when introducing myself to a local Devonian is their retort of 'youre not from round here are you'...I confuse them by telling them I'm from Somerset

You have to remember that a person from Exeter would consider someone from Newton Abbot an 'outsider' (naturally said in broad Devonian accent).
