Welcome, Mike! I love the great State of Texas...

      Love the walk-in too...

I want to have a walk-in someday. I have a bedroom in the basement that would be perfect to transform into a walk-in. Here's to hoping!

HI Mike, welcome to the forum.
I've just seen the photos and am now officially depressed!

WOA, Mike I knew everything in Texas was huge but...damn.

Have you calculated what it's going to cost to fill it or how long it's going to take to smoke em?

Anyhow, I vote the next Forum party is over at yours.

Welcome dude, anyone as committed as that is very welcome here. Look forward to more posts from you.

A warm welcome to UKCF Mike. Ditto all the humi comments
As Dave was asking, what humidification are you using for your special place?

Wow this seems like such a great board. Thanks to all again for the warm welcome!

I plumbed in a water line to a float valve in my Bemis humidifier. It is hooked up to a Habitat Monitor that turns on and off the humidifier and fan at the humidity level I choose. So this humidifier was not plumbed in at first and using the window A/C unit here in the Texas hot summers (this past year we had 42 days over 100 deg), it would eat through the water in the unit. So by plumbing it in with the float valve I no longer have to worry about filling it up b/c the AC unit takes out the humidity as well as the heat. Would say that there is a drop of 2 % in humidity when the AC turns on and then the humidifier kicks in and brings the room back up to 65% in a matter of minutes. Pretty worry free set up...and with the webcam in there I can keep an eye and ear (audible alarms go off if either the temp or humidity goes outside of a predefined range) on things. Now if I can only talk my wife into getting a back up generator for the room for when our power goes off ;o) lmao.
