I finally found the introduction thread so that is what I shall do.
Hello all and thankyou for informing my cigar shopping over the recent months. I bet you had no idea how influential you are?
I've only been smoking cigars for 3 months now so am brand new at all of this. I bought some Romeo y Julieta tubos to celebrate the birth of my niece. They were a gift for the father but when the little one was already 2 days I late I decided to try one. Sat in the back garden slowly puffing away I found myself disgustingly relaxed an enveloped in a cloud of sweet sweet smoke. I enjoyed it so much that I bought more the next day and got the opportunity to smoke those too as the baby was even further overdue.
Since then I've tried a sampler of the 15 best selling Cubans from Havana Sampler and have been working my way through: a box of Partagas Serie D no. 4 (most are being left to age as I found them quite bitter), 50 cuban crafter cigars that came with my humidor, 25 Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story, 25 Arturo Fuente Hemingway best sellers, and the next box 25 858 Maduros.
Before discovering the wonders of internet bargain hunting and Swiss tax free zones I was picking up sticks at my local tobbaconist at incredible prices. Got to try a Serie P no. 2, Cuaba Exclusivos, Cuaba Generosos, Bolivar Belicosos Finos and a few others.
Have to say though, even though I've been through a fair few cubans over the last 3 months, I'm finding my pallate fits best with the Fuente Hemingways, particularly the short story. Must be the Cameroon wrapper!
Anyway, thanks for providing me with a wealth of information and I look forward to participating in cigar discussions in the future!
