Welcome, Oliver! I suggest that you buy the biggest humidor you can find because you are going to need it. Cigars are like smack. Once you start you cannot stop.
I started with a small 25 count humidor. Now, I have two 300 count humidors and several smaller ones and still do not have enough room. I know that others on this forum have far more storage than I do.
All joking aside, this is a great hobby that will provide years of enjoyment, but seriously, buy a big humidor!!!
Mild smokes: Romeo and Julieta Short Churchills, El Rey Del Mundo
If you like a little more strength, go with: Partagas D4 or P2, Ramon Allones Specially Selected. All great smokes.

Might be worth looking at the Trinidads too. The Reyes are exceptionally nice as smaller cigars go.

Hello Oliver. I have very fond memories of being chased out of the White Hart in Welwyn for clearing out the fruit machine. Happy Days! I grew up in WGC, (Stanborough) and know Welwyn quite well.
You certainly have an interesting journey ahead of you if the cigars get their hooks in you like they have for so many others on the forum. Keep an eye on what is said here because you will pick up all the info in no time at all. My personal faves for the beginner would be a Hoyo Epicure 2 & a San Luis Rey Serie A. Both wonderful smokes.

Thanks everyone for all the advice and the very kind welcome. I can see this is going to be a very interesting (Expensive) hobby. I will have to have a look for a nice humidor, is it best to buy online or from a shop? I cant wait to try out a few new cigars, next time I visit London I am defiantly going to go on the Cigar walk that has been mentioned here and then I can have a good look at all the different brands and purchase a few to sample.Last edited by Goddard; 09-09-2009, 10:48 PM.
