Hello everyone!
Some of you know me, some will know me from various cigar forums and BBS groups going back to the early days of Alt.Smokers.Cigars and some of you will be grinding their teeth and muttering "who let him in here?".
I was pointed in this direction by the most excellent Mr. NicWing when I attended one of his Cuban Cigar Walk tours so I hopped over The Pond (in an internet way) to see what was going on.
Nice to see some interesting cigar discussions here so bear with me as I get tuned in.
I've collected quite a number of good Cuban and non-Cuban cigars, in fact, although I no longer buy them, about 28% of my stock is still NC. I used to travel on business a lot in the USA and always took advantage of any good buys and my 50 cigar duty-free allowance but now that I'm "jubilado" with a small income I can't afford to buy a lot of cigars.
I prefer Cuban smokes so that's what I buy. No more "taste testing" to find those non-Cuban smokes I might enjoy. I'm slowly smoking up my non-Cuban stock and benefiting from some extended age on some of my Fuentes and LGCs.
I travel to Cuba 2-3 times every year to get away from our harsh winters, relax on the beach, estudiar un poco espanol, buy some good cigars and smoke a few fine puros. OK a lot of fine puros.
Cheers,
Michael
