  • New Member from Poole

    Hi everyone,
My name is Rick and I just wanted to introduce myself, I just moved to Poole about 3 months ago from Switzerland and I have the feeling I've landed in a Cigar Smokers Black Hole....I can't find anyone in the area who partakes in the Smoke of the Gods. I recently found this Forum and hope I can find a few people in Dorset who partake regularly. The Pipe and Tobacco shop in Bournemouth didn't know of any local groups or clubs either. I have been a member of several Cigar Clubs in Austria and Switzerland and really miss the monthly Herfs.

I am a long time Cigar smoker, about 80% Habanos and 20% New World. Some of my Favorites are: Por Larranaga Petit Coronas, Saint Luis Rey Regios, RASS, MC #3, R&J Cedros de Luxe 2, R&J Cazadores, Robaina Clasicos, San Cristobal El Principe, Trinidad Reyes and my last remaining boxes of Diplomaticos Nr.1's and 4's. On the new world side I enjoy any Padron 1926, Tatuaje, Flor de Selva, Villa Zamarano. To tell you the truth...I like just about any Cigar...especially the smaller Vitolas (which unfortunately are slowly going the way of the Dodo Bird).

I look forward to interacting with you in the Forum and hopefully there are a few people in my area that would like to meet up for a smoke or two.

A Cigar is the only phallic shaped object you can put in your mouth and look even manlier.

      Welcome Rick!

Unfortunately it sounds like you might not have to much luck locally, but there are guys on here from all over who meet up from time to time

unfortunately you've come from probably the best to the worst place in Europe for buying cigars. Good luck!

Welcome Rick. Shame about the barren lands on cigars, but Poole and Dorset have some compensations.

Hello and welcome, I have no clue about your part of the world unfortuately, but there are meets - if you're ever in London I'm sure there will be people who would be happy to meet (including me )

I was aware of this before I moved here. I brought a few emergency supplies with me until I get set up and can bring the rest....

The only problem is, I can't find anyone to smoke them with...

Welcome to the forum. Your emergency supplies should keep you going for a week or two!

Poole is a lovely part of the world and I'm sure that sooner or later you will find some local cigar smokers. As for cigar shops, maybe you could persuade Joann from Gesto's to open a branch on the south coast
