Hello Everyone,
I'm Mark from Cheshire, new member, been smoking cigars and sipping cognac since my wedding last year, a real gentlemen's pastime. everything ive learnt (and i'm still just scrapping the surface..was from the internet, then chatting to salesmen at my local cigar stockist, but what i found the most effective was the trail and error of putting what i liked and didn't like into practise the experience..different ways of lighting, cutting, smoking. my favs up to now are bolivar's and padrons..but i know i have so much more to explore. i spend around ?50/60 a month, and i have just bought a 2014 Bolivar Super Coronas (limited editions) and i'm also a super av geek, and i am a distinguished member of avforums (same member name golden phoenix).
my local cigar stockist has just opened a gentleman's club (no not that type) ... but a place in Liverpool called the puffin rooms..were you can sample all sorts of whiskies and spirits and a cigar at the same time (they also have jazz and blues music going on) so im looking forward to exploring that with friends. not sure if they have places like that across the country but there's certainly not many places that i know of up north!
i'm looking to chat and learn from the connoisseurs on here.
i need to explore humidors next, as well as the cigars, and i'm open to cigar recommendations. everyone tends to go with cubans at first as that's what people who don't smoke hear of first with all the Italian gangster movies lol..but other regions must be able to make a great cigar too.
anyway hello everyone!
