  • Hi from across the pond!!

    Hi cigar mates!

Groundhog and TJCoro introduced me to the forum. Actually, groundhog contacted me and asked me if I'd consider doing a group buy of the PerfecDraw for forum members, and TJCoro followed that up. And the group buy just finished. I'm the inventor of the PerfecDraw and PerfecRepair, so for those who joined in the forum group buy, if you have any questions, always feel free to ask.

As for me, I'm a dentist of 40 years and a research scientist and developer of 42 years. Chances are that any dentist you go to is using something -- either technique or product -- that I developed or was involved in the development of. I've been involved in research in most fields of dentistry, and the majority of dentists consider me the leading private sector teeth whitening scientist in the world -- my first study in teeth whitening dating back to 1977.

Teeth whitening....cigar smoking...you can imagine all the teasing and jokes I endure on a daily basis!!! LOL!

Anyway, I'm very glad to have been introduced to your forum, and looking forward to having some fun with everyone here.

As I believe you folks say... cheers!

Welcome to the UKCF, old man! Glad se?or serious finally got around to letting you in...

Thanks again for working with the one known only as "Groundhog" in putting this group buy together. I'm sure I speak for the rest of the chaps that we anxiously await the PerfecDraw and repair kit. Lord knows there are many well-aged plugged puros resting comfortably in don TJ's massive unit (humidor for all you youngsters out there). With a little practice and patience, as you suggested, they may soon see their day of puro glory.

By they way, some of us Coros are making a trek up north to San Diego and beyond next month for some R&R. Perhaps you'd care to join us for a smoke and a brew, if we make it that far .

Anyway, welcome to the UKCF clan!

Names Boy, Bag Boy, and it look like I'm stuck with the posting duties at the moment on behalf of don TJ and the Coro Clan.

Well, I'm partial to Cuban sticks. Part of that is that you always want what you can't have...or aren't SUPPOSED to have. Forbidden fruit I guess. But I just luv 'em. Favorite has always been the Monte #2. But also love the Partagas Serie D#4 and Serie E#2, Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas. RyJ Wide Churchills. Monte Open Eagles. Pretty much everything in my humi is what I like.

Had a quick little smoke last night out in the back yard -- Cuaba Divinos. Short little cigar, but MAN was that sucker plugged. But after fixing it, it was absolutely fantastic!

Hi Rod, great into! That's a good looking humidor. Is it built in to the wall with drawers? Looking forward to trying the PerfecDraw on a Divinos myself [emoji106]

Regarding the questions on my humi -- Yes, the humi is custom built. The archway was already there. It's ten feet wide. So I designed the humi and drew the blueprints (it's always great to have a background in engineering). I then had the humi built by a custom humidor maker in Florida. It was shipped across the USA to Southern California to me.

I installed strips of bright white LED lights up under the top sides -- LEDs don't generate much heat. I put the LED lights on a wall switch to turn on and off.

It has an air conditioning unit on the far left side that you can see. It can get hot here in So. Cal., and the temp could get too high when we're gone traveling.

Of course it has an electronic humidification unit.

And I have 10 miniature computer fans tucked up along the corners that cause the air to circulate constantly.

It arrived as raw wood, and I stained and finished it, and built it into the archway.

The doors are on the top. You just lift each door up to get into the stash. You see all three doors open in the photo below. This was before I had it stocked with mostly Cubans.
