Evening all.
first of all can I introduce myself as a newbie to the forum but more importantly I've been smoking the Cuban for just a reward months.
my selection of cigars include, Partagas serie D. M Cristo petetite no2, epicure no 2. I also have a few samplers like Davidoff, r&j wide Churchill, don Diego, 'R' 1845 & a macanudo
My favourite smoke a far is the partagas serie D.
Lets just say I'm finding my way, and at the young age of 43 I intend to make the most of it.
i don't drink alcohol so this is one of my pleasures, I like to think!
Im hoping one of you seasoned cigar lovers please help me as I find myself in a pickle.
im looking for some advice on whether in the U.K. Seasoning a humidor (like they show on YouTube where you wipe distilled water inside the humidor) is necessary or not. I didn't do this when I first got it. Chap on cgars instant message said don't do it .
also, is it normal to have lower humidity at this time of year?
Also yesterday I put 2 69% boveda packs in my humidor. how long should it take to hit 69%.
My humidor has been at 63% since autumn ish. I have both a digital hygrometer and the other built in one.
Most of my cigars are springy but there is a clear crisp sound when pressing. Some more than others.
Very worried about my cigars. Help help help.
Thanks
