Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself and get my foot in the door. I've smoked a cigar every now and then over the last 10 years however have only very recently became a more regular cigar smoker and gotten more seriously into cigars.
I'm based in Tynemouth, near Newcastle, however I work in Manchester so split my time between the 2 quite frequently.
Recently purchased my first humidor, took great intrest in watching it like a hawk for 2 weeks of Boveda seasoning and slowly beginning to get some sticks into it however I do find I'm smoking them just as fast with the nice weather we've had lately. Still trying to find what my tastes are so have just been buying single sticks but so far have only really found one I disliked which was a Flor de Oliva Robusto. Had a really loose draw and just didn't like the taste.
Other than that I've been happy with RyJ Short Churchills, Montecristo no4, HdM Epicure No2, Cohiba Siglo 2 and also had a few Joyo de Nicaragua Red Robustos and a few Ashton Cabinets which were brought back from Miami by my good lady wife.
Always scouring the forums here and listening to podcasts on my commutes to pick up more knowledge and find some hidden gems.
Also been into Cuban Cigar Club in Newcastle which seems a great place and I'm sure I'll be frequenting the lounge there once the weather turns for the worse.
Cheers
Harvey
