Great for a young man on his mid 20's

Hertha is having one of their best seasons right now, they're 3rd right now and will probably qualify either for the Champions or the Europa league.

I was 18 years old the first time a visited Berlin and remember drinking a lot and going to quite a few concerts back then.

I love the lounge. It's a 10 minute walk from my brothers home.

That's great! Are they in nice shape?

I have started selling a lot of my books but held on to some DC's (mainly Flash and a few keys) and my EC's.

I would say ok shape. Certainly not pristine.

I have some Hulk, Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Britain and Conan.

My favourite is possibly the John Jameson Man-Wolf introduction in mid 70's Spiderman

Spidey 124, great issue. I like the art: Kane/Romita.

Do you have a 129? it's the first Punisher.

That's a good one to own, it has become an expensive book right now with the Punisher appearing in the Daredevil Netflix series.

Really? I bought the lot together and got an insta collection for around ?5 about 18 years ago.

A kid i grew up next door but one to has every single Batman, Superman and Green lantern comic ever produced since 1960. His dad passed his colllection on and he just carried on buying.

He has a quite a few Action and Detective too going right back to the 30's but no where near a full set.... He spent quite a lot more than my measly ?5 though.

He would never let me touch them though, other than the death of Superman or the one where the joker beats Robin to "death" with a crow bar. I think they are still my favourite comics to read. They showed me that stories dont have to end all happy to be great.

That was a good buy. I paid around 100 for mine nearly 20 years ago.

Early Actions and Detectives something else though, some of these can fetch 5 figures depending on which issue and condition.

I liked the death of Robin and Superman a lot back in the day. But I'm a huge fan of the EC books from the early 50's, they were the first books with anti war stories and other themes that had never been addressed before in a comic book.

Before my time and beyond my knowledge im afraid. But that embodies what i love about graphic novels. They take real life issues, adress them and make them accessible beyond even literature and to a depth that TV rarely manages.

Truely more than the sum of their parts. IMO
