After a long absence, I figured I should start again. Indeed, a long period without posting has meant most of my 'privileges' have gone, so I'm basically a newbie once more! Seems there's a few of us reappearing, though my absence is in months rather than years. What with Facebook, Twitter, Tapatalk, Whatsapp, Hangouts, etc, etc ... I find social media a bit much at times and I've never been wholly comfortable with it. Late last year my wife got rushed into hospital for emergency surgery and the usual deluge of notifications was too much. The only messages I wanted to know about were family and close friends, so I decided to give it all a rest. I figured I didn't have much to say at the best of times so it didn't matter anyway.
Well, things are much more settled now, wifey is better, work is busy and I really don't want cigars to be even more of a solitary past time than it already is.
I've still been enjoying a smoke most evenings, still enjoying some great non-Cubans and Cuban cigars alike and still enjoying filling scubadors and humidors in preparation for what I hope will be many happy years of smoking. Or a fire sale if funds run out ...
So, I'm dipping my toe back in the social media waters. Doesn't help that I have next to no phone signal where I stay during the week, so I'll still be an occasional visitor but here goes again!
