Hello one and all,
James here, recently turned 29 years old, originally from Newcastle and have been living daaahn saaahf in London for the past five years or so.
I've only been properly smoking cigars for a few years as you might imagine but I'm getting well into it now I'd say; I tend to light one up a couple of times a week.
I accept the fact that I'm a relative newbie so I'm working to school myself in all things Cuban for the foreseeable future before moving on to other things.
I go through boxes of Montecristo Double Edmundos - absolutely my favourite smoke to date. Otherwise getting pretty familiar with most of the Cuban brands. Still a lot to learn mind...
A combination of factors means that I can and do acquire fairly considerable volumes of Cuban cigars! I don't have a family, I have a (reasonably) well-paid job and my girlfriend is German, meaning that I'm on the continent a few times a year and can stock up on all my favourite Cubans at half-price or less. Might as well take advantage of all this while I can, eh?!
Really happy to discover a UK community of cigar aficionados. I think the amount we have to pay for cigars here is outrageous because of the taxes, so I understand us Brits have to be properly committed to the cause to maintain the hobby.
Anyway, hello again to everyone. I hope to learn a lot make a positive contribution to the forums too!
All the best,
James
