What we would recommend might suit us but not you, try a few that take your fancy wether Cuban or non Cuban and go from there
think at the end of the day that's how we all started in this cigar hobby of ours.
You're right Tony, but there is a lot of people here who have tried a lot more cigars than myself and would be able to give me their opinions. In the past I had very few hand rolled cigars and stuck mainly to the machine rolled where you're pretty much going to get the same consistency, whereas hand rolled should have a wee bit of a difference some of the time, or am I wrong?
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

Welcome aboard Paulie! You've definitely made the right decision to try a bit of a variety to kick things off with. We should be able to offer even better recommendations once you've tried a few and started working out what sort of cigars you like - as you say, there's a lot a variety.

Personally, I'd suggest trying something like a Vegas Robaina Familiares offers some nice, approachable flavours. The cigar that got me hooked was an El Rey del Mundo Petit Corona - good luck finding them these days though.

            Welcome Paulie
Lots of recommendations, although cigars & taste can be quite personal.
            Your taste buds are unique.
So I'd just say buy & try, and see which take your liking.
All the very very best bud
