    Hi all,

A question along similar lines - I'm an occasional cigar smoker but I was lucky enough to get a box of Cohiba Behike 52's for crimbo including the lovely box. My question is, does it need a humidifier and a hygrometer (I assume it does) and if so, which would be a good bet to go for since the box is not very big at all.

    Thanks

As beautiful as it is the Behike box is not really a humidor despite people selling them on Ebay as such. It will certainly work to a degree and makes a cool travel humidor but you'd be better off with the real thing or even better a tupperware type storage box to keep it and its precious contents in. Then put your hygrometer and a Boveda pack in that.

What the hell is going on around these parts lately?

Now, perhaps I'm just getting grumpy and grouchy in my sunset years - an old fart as the kids say - but why aren't the knewbess introducing themselves anymore to the fine folks of these here forums before jumping in with both feet with comments and question?

        Anyone? Anyone?

        Perro, el Perro

Haha! The young lad said "Hi all." What else do you want by way of in introduction?

Hey Ray Jay! It's just common courtesy, is all!

Welcome new guys. As suggested, we have a greeting section where you can let us know who were talking to.

It's akin to knocking on the door before you walk in to someones house.

In answer though. The BHK box holds humidity ok for short duration with a !!BOVEDA!! Pack, but for anything over a few days I would suggest Tupperware as a good cheap option.

And so long as you're not a salesman you'll always be welcome. Bit like real life really.

But the right kind of salesman might be welcome.

I think I did the same thing myself when I joined, purely from my eagerness to get involved I didn't see the 'newbie greets' posts. Didn't know they were there so it's an easy mistake I guess..

But did you ever go back an post an intro... or are you just planning of being grandfathered in?

Haha! That's a good question, matey. Not sure I ever did one, tbh. Just showed up one day when the forum was very young and only a few of us were around and went into my bits.

But that was then and this is now.....so don't you youngsters go trying something like that!

Keep you nose clean and you posts pithy, and above all else, be sure to introduce yourself to the thousands and thousands of folks who frequent this fine forum each day and you'll go far.

                          Sincerely,

                          Haha! How far, dawg face?

(Harrumph!) Very far, you stinky douche bag Ray Jay!

Ahem....quite right, young master wigans! There was a time when that was common banter around this fine forum, but then some got scared ad weak-kneed , so it was decided to prohibit such chatter, which lead to....well, that's another story for another day, I'm afraid.
