    Hey Everyone,

I am new to this forum. Took me a while to sign up after my first account raised suspicion and was deleted, but with a bit of persistence, I finally made it on the forum.

My love for cigars started pretty much this time around last year on a trip to Florida. On every corner there was a cigar shop and being an ex cigarette smoker, I always avoided anything with nicotine in it. I also remember not liking cigars that much when I was still smoking cigarettes... I guess the urge to inhale got in the way.

Anyways, after the 20th cigar shop, I finally gave in and got myself a Perdomo 10th Anniversary, on recommendation of the nice gentleman inside the shop. Me and my partner sat down at sunset pier, watched a cruise ship take off, the sun go down and enjoyed our first cigar. And I looooved it... The rest of the trip I bought some more random cigars of which I can't remember the name anymore.

Back in London (where I live) I went to Sauters and got myself another two cigars, one of them a Partagas P2. That was that for a while since the weather didn't really invite me to smoke.

A bit later I had to go to Malta for business and realized how much cheaper cigars are over there. Since I had about 5 more trips to Malta, I came back with a new case of cigars every time. I smoked my way through some Partagas, Cohiba, Punch and Bolivar before I discovered another shop with new world cigars. I loved the Olivias and Rocky Partel. My favourite of new world so far was a Diamond Crown I got at a tasting in Malta. Mild but packed with flavours.

So, still fairly new to the world of cigars, I am looking forward to train my taste buds further and eventually get into storing cases for aging. Though it will be hard to keep my hands of a nice case...

Looking forward to read and share on this forum.

PS: if you haven't noticed yet, I am German but I live in London for about 7 years now. I also love high quality teas and usually have a tea with my cigar, rather than a whiskey. (though I do love single malts as well)

Am I right in thinking that's a lady's name? Do we have to behave ourselves now?

            Hi Niela
            welcome to the forum.

I also drink black tea with a cigar. Great combination.
