hi Everybody!
Chris (Chanceschmerr) here. It is true - I'm a Canadian just moved to the UK, looking forward to delving into the UK cigar scene here! I haven't posted here yet only because I'm still deep into our move (movers arrive tomorrow to unload our belongings into our flat), so I expect I won't be too visible on the forum for at least another few days....but I'll be In the UK for another year and a half, so we've got lots of time to get acquainted!

I'm an officer in the Royal Canadian Navy, and posted here to London to undertake a Masters Degree in Naval Architecture at UCL. Luckily I've managed to get a flat reasonably close to the uni, on Crawford place, just off Edgware Road, and it has a moderate terrace as well so I've got somewhere to enjoy a cigar or even host a mini herf. That said - this Masters degree is a really compressed one, so I will likely be extremely busy at least through March, so although I'll do my best to see folks to enjoy a great cigar, I can't make any promises to be available as much as I would normally like until late spring 2015.

what kind of guy am I? I love meeting cigar folks and sharing a good smoke, and I do it as much as possible as I travel with the Navy, and I've had the opportunity to meet many folks In Europe and elsewhere over the
last few years, and I hope to continue that here in the UK (as my schedule permits)! I'm relatively young for a cigar guy at 30, but I've been into cigars for about 7 years now. My favourites are coronas, PCs, Lonsdales and long panetelas, which of course means I'm big into discontinueds and I'm not a fan of the recent direction of Habanos SA to pump out endless fat new releases and LEs, while eliminating nearly every cigar I cherish. My favourite 3 cigars are the SLR PC, RA 898 and Partagas Corona. That said - I don't judge folks who do like the bigger Ring cigars - to each their own, right! Someone has to like them if HSA keeps making more!

That's it for me for now - I look forward to meeting you all in the near future and exploring this forum further!

Hey Joey! I actually stored the lions share with a close friend back in Canada - only brought a small selection with me. That leaves my humidor nice and empty for stocking up in Europe
I agree - we gotta christen is - just need to unpack so we can actually sit out there, etc haha!

They are........and its sad. I welcomed the Escepcion Selectos Finos and hoped it was a signal of change........unfortunately we have nothing more in the RE program but endless Short Robustos..........or at least it feels that way anyway!
