As for only keeping 15 or so… pfffftttt!!
That was my thoughts when I started out…

If you travel abroad - you'll find the smokes can be ALOT cheaper,
hence you'll want to bring em back and will need space for them in the humi.
I wish I had started out with a bigger humi. Bare in mind, I only smoke during the
Spring/Summer/Autumn months, averaging one a week or fortnight (or sometimes longer).
So I get through on average approx 30 a year possibly...

Ha Ha Cheers, yeah I guess this is going to end up like my Golf, a never ending expensive addiction.

      I bought a humidor with a capacity of 20-25.
I thought the exact same thing: won't need more or smoke more at a time.
But it's more for storing extras. Whether it be because of a cheap bulk buy,
or purely for ageing them a bit. This particular humidor, boy oh boy, the smell
of cedar - is unreal. My regret is not starting out with something like this (that I recommended).

      Regardless - BEST OF LUCK!

Hi Bigsy welcome to the madhouse, what do you kids think of it? When I started my adult sons thought I'd gone mad! They were probably right but such is life

Hello and welcome, looks like you are starting off in the right direction.

Used to live in Cambridge but left about 10 years ago to live on the south coast!

Hi Peejay, Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah I am a bit of a sod to be honest when it comes to a Hobby, I have gone through Guitars like you wouldn't believe and Golf has turned into one big fashion show, totally egotistical i know and pointless but hey ho that is a major flaw with my character ha ha
I have always looked at people who lay Wine down and discuss it as 'pretentious' Berkshires to be honest with you.

Now I find myself being allured to a world that is every bit as stuffy and snobby and I bloody love it !!!! although there is still a bit of room for the Car Dealer in me to roar to the surface. .

As for the Family ? they just shake their heads and say "yet another thing for him to bang on about"

Not stuffy and snobby on here mate, this is the world of pisstaking and ribald humour! It is also the world of the obsessive, wait till you get into cutters, lighters, ashtrays etc as well as cigars. That's not to mention the tee shirts.

I have now discovered this world, joined a Cigar Monthly Club and tomorrow am off into Cambridge to purchase my first few Cigars, I have no idea what I am going to buy yet but am told that I should just buy a pen and a book and write them all down as I go along.
My price range is realistically up to about ?25 a Cigar a couple of times a week and the majority will be hoovering up all the value in between.

I can stretch to the odd 'elite' single a few times a year but that depends on if the Mrs wants the equivalent too or if the odd Yankee comes in ..lol

I look forward to you all educating me and sharing your experiences and perhaps pointing me in the right direction.
