I've gone further than a spreadsheet - I have a database which acts as a diary various other things I think I may find useful to have a record of

And just to prove how useful having a record is my brother, who would never normally miss an opportunity to rip it out of me for doing stuff like that, was reading through it and commented on how cool it actually is to have a record and how interesting a read it is!

Edit - I also just realised I didn't welcome you - but hello and welcome!

I have smoked before....I was a special occasion smoker for a long time, birthdays, weddings, BBQ's etc.

My wife got me a small humidor for my 30th last year and I now smoke more regularly, I'm still not a daily smoker but I tend to have 2/3 a week, mainly on weekends.

So far my favourites have been Partagas Series D no4, Trinidad Reyes and the H.Upmann half corona. N/C wise I really like the NUB Connecticut, Alec Bradley Black Market Punk.

I'm still getting used to the nicotine!
Definitely agree with the half corona. Didn't like the Reyes, unfortunately.
And I have a serie d on its way to me. [emoji2]

I tend go straight for the half corona on a Friday lunchtime.

I'm yet to have a bad nicotine hit, I'm sure it will come. I tend have a sugary drink at hand when I smoke, and some chocolate is usually on hand also.

Obviously the name of the cigar I also keep a record of the size, box date and factory code (if known), whether they are a standard production, or RE, LE etc (and in the case of REs etc. the release year), where they were bought from and the cost, a little summary of the day I smoked it (a little diary I suppose) as well as the weather, the score I gave it (although I don't use the 100 point system). I also have a checklist on there of the REs I have got (I love collecting REs )

For the unsmoked cigars I also have a record of which humidor they are in

Having used Filemaker to make it I can also look back a how cigars smoked from certain shops and certain boxes etc - I will probably never use this in my life, but I just like the fact that I can

Yes... I am a huge geek

you find yourself taking a miniature ruler around in your wallet after a while...

Weight is something I've debated adding.... I have a pocket scale just for that, actually

Nothing sad about being enthusiastic. The sad people are those who have no passion for anything except mocking those with interests. Long live the enthusiastic.
