Hey. Is this thread still about the Newbie? Lol.
Someone asked about my favorite smokes. Mostly I smoke regular Padron (nats) and sometimes Fuentes. Occasionally (and when I can get hold of one) I'll smoke a Cuban. I like RASS, PSD#4, PLPCs, Monte #2s, but my fav Cuban is the Vegas Robaina Unico. I smoke only three or four cigars a week, usually all between Friday and Sunday, but occasionally I'll make it home in time during the week to sit out back with the dogs, listen to music and light one up and relax.

BTW, I've seen that "Texas Lancero" and it's not for me. Too big. A cigar has to fit in my mouth and fit in my hand and I have to be able to finish it in less than an hour. So smaller gauges and shorter lengths are better for me.

Agreed, though every now and then I don't mind going over an hour... Especially on special occasions. Though 54rg is a big enough big stick as I can ever see myself needing.

Small sticks are really doing it for me now though!

I prefer the smaller sticks (thus my old handle, Fiveby42) but unfortunately many of the newer blends and brands are made only in larger ring gauges, 54, 56, 58, even 60. Sorry, but a one-inch thick stick is too much work.
